BA (Hons) in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language student, Chan Ming-wai has been broadening her skills through invaluable field experience. One highlight was a month teaching at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU).

Those in her class ranged from 20 to 60 years old, encompassing students, journalists and executives. Ming-wai refined her pedagogical techniques and took pride in her class’s excellent grades, validating her instructional abilities.

Ming-wai also participated in BLCU's cultural festival – a colourful event celebrating diversity. She engaged with people from around the globe and absorbed different traditions. This opportunity allowed Ming-wai to educate while learning herself, in China's capital. She looks back fondly on her time there as a highlight of her studies.
